Medical Director
Marsha L. Atherton, MD Marsha grew up in a small town in the upper peninsula of Michigan and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, and residency at Providence Hospital Family Medicine Program in Southfield, MI. She joined the GCHC team in 2010 and became the Medical Director of the clinic in 2011.

Christy Branch RN Christy is the Director of Nursing, joining GCHC in 2017. She has worked in the Nursing field since 2009. She has an acute care, long term care and clinic background. You will always catch her and husband Dewey attending Football games, and wrestling meets.

Angela Black, LCPC Angela is a licensed therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate the challenges of daily life. She began her journey in the field in 2008, working alongside seasoned professionals and honing her skills. Holding a master’s degree in clinical counseling from Bellevue University, Angela has developed a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health and draws from a wide range of therapeutic techniques to support individuals facing emotional and psychological difficulties. Born and raised on the Hi-Line, she is rooted in a strong sense of community and brings a unique perspective to counseling in rural communities. Known for a warm, person-centered approach, she works to empower individuals to heal, grow, and achieve lasting positive change.
Chris Calerich FNP Chris is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and grew up in Denver, CO. He moved to Utah to pursue a nursing career. Chris has an extensive nursing background, where he worked in hospice, long term care, ICU, and ER. He received his master’s degree from the University of Colorado. He has always had a passion for living and working in rural communities. He and his wife have four children. They love to go camping whenever they get the chance. Other interests include hiking, fishing, hunting and any outdoor exploring.
Dental Director
Danielle Kennedy, DDS Blackfeet Tribal member Dr. Danielle Kennedy graduated from Cut Bank High School in 2002. After being awarded a scholarship from Indian Health Service to attend the University of Washington School of Dentistry, she graduated from the program in 2011. Dr. Kennedy returned to Browning, working at IHS as a general dentist for four years and a Supervisor for two. In 2018, Dr. Kennedy joined GCHC as the Dental Director, where she continues to work today. Having married another CBHS graduate, she and her husband have two boys and are committed to the area. Their family enjoys living in Cut Bank and is involved in many community activities. They also enjoy spending time in the mountains, cross-country skiing, rafting, hiking, and sitting by a campfire.
MacKenzie Carlson, RDH MacKenzie joined the GCHC dental team in June 2017. She attended both the University of Montana and Great Falls College MSU where she earned her dental hygiene degree. She was a dental assistant for two years prior. She was born and raised in Choteau, Montana and loves the small town life.
Amber Dean, DNP, PMHNP-BC Amber is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with her Doctor of Nursing Practice that she received from Montana State University. Amber earned her undergraduate at UNMC in Omaha, NE, and Concordia University in Seward, NE. She played college basketball for 4 years. After growing up Western Nebraska, she lived in Kalispell for some time before moving back home with a husband and 4 kids! She enjoys coaching, exploring, and following Nebraska football and volleyball. Mental health and treatment is a passion and I enjoy serving all!
PODIATRY
Benjamin Webb, DPM, AACFAS Providing monthly Podiatry services to Cut Bank. Dr. Benjamin Webb is a board-qualified foot and ankle surgeon at Northern Montana Foot and Ankle Specialists. Born in Idaho and raised in western Wyoming, Dr. Webb has a deep understanding of the importance of quality healthcare in a rural community. Dr. Webb received his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho and went on to graduate medical school from the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He then went on to complete a rigorous residency training program at Franciscan Alliance/MWU in northwestern Indiana where he gained extensive clinical and surgical training with emphasis in foot and ankle trauma, forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, and limb salvage. In addition to his surgical training, Dr. Webb has spent countless hours in the clinic diagnosing and treating all ailments of the foot and ankle. This experience allows him to offer a full spectrum of treatment options ranging from conservative non-invasive treatments to complex surgical intervention. He understands that each patient is unique and as such, treatment should be tailored to the individual, not just the problem. He strives to ensure that each patient feels like family, and as such will receive the highest quality of care. Dr. Webb currently is a active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. He works hard to ensure he remains up to date on the most recent medical literature and incorporates evidence based medicine in all of his treatment strategies. Being raised in a small town in Wyoming has taught Dr. Webb the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity. From an early age, he’s had the blessing of being taught and mentored by many humble, hard working men and women who valued the importance of community and service. Dr. Webb is proud to serve the flathead valley community and to follow the traditions and examples set before him. Dr. Webb is joined in this venture by his wife Mckayla and their three beautiful daughters. As a family they love spending time together in the outdoors such as traveling, hiking, camping, fishing, and exploring the great state of Montana.
Matthew Jenkins, DPM, AACFAS With Norhern Montana Food & Ankle Specialists, Dr. Jenkins services Cut Bank with monthly visits. Dr. Matthew Jenkins is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon who earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. He then completed a 3 year surgical residency at Ascension St. Vincent hospital in Evansville, Indiana. During his time in Indiana, he had the opportunity to learn from several experts in the field of foot and ankle surgery (both podiatric and orthopedic). He specializes in both surgical and conservative management of the foot and ankle. Dr. Jenkins is specially trained for reconstructive foot and ankle surgery-including bunions, hammertoes, flatfoot reconstruction, orthopedic sports medicine, advanced foot and ankle trauma, total ankle replacement, arthroscopic surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, diabetic limb salvage, plantar fasciitis, and wound care. Dr. Jenkins’ philosophy is that of providing compassionate, quality care by listening to his patients and their concerns, and then educating them on all options of treatment. In determining a plan of care, Dr. Jenkins prefers conservative treatment options to get patients back to their lifestyle as quickly as possible. Dr. Jenkins is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). He is actively engaged in current literature and evidence-based medicine to ensure patients are receiving the highest quality of care. Dr. Jenkins is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing and watching golf, football, and basketball. He loves spending time with his wife and 4 kids outdoors hiking, exploring, and shooting. He helps coach his son in baseball and recently is learning woodworking. Dr. Jenkins is fluent in Spanish after living in the Dominican Republic while serving as a missionary. He grew up hunting, fishing, and playing sports in southeastern Idaho and is excited to be back in Montana after living in Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Indiana. He looks forward to working with you and helping you get back on your feet!

Paul Krogue, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC
Donald Ririe, DDS Donald graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in dentistry. He then worked in a private practice in Utah, followed by five years with Kaiser in Oregon, and another six years in private practice in Portland. While in Portland he did sedation dentistry to help patients who had a fear of dentists. This process helped to build trust and alleviate fear and anxiety with patients. Dr. Ririe and family live in MacGrath, Alberta, where they relocated to be near his mother.
Erin Larson, RDH Erin is a registered Dental Hygienist here at GCHC. She graduated high school in Cut Bank in 2012, then attended the Blackfeet Community College, receiving an Associates of Science. She then attended Great Falls MSU and completed the Dental Hygiene program. She has been a hygienist for 5 years now and found her home here at GCHC. She grew up here in Cut Bank, married her high school sweetheart Myles and have two beautiful daughters. They enjoy spending their time as a family camping, swimming, and going on trips together. In her spare time she enjoys spending time in her garden and taking care of her chickens.

Honey Newton, CNM, FNP, DNP Seeing patients monthly on the HI-Line. Honey is a Certified Nurse Midwife and a Family Nurse Practitioner with degrees from Gonzaga University, the University of Utah, and Colorado Mesa University. Prior to becoming a provider, she served as a Biologist in Colorado. She is the lead Lecturer for Gender in the Graduate School of Nursing at Gonzaga University. Honey is committed to providing the best medically available care to patients in all stages of life. She loves to spend time in the wilderness and run long races. She is the mother of 14 Foster/Adopted/Biological children.
